SALERS HIGH AT 4,700 gns

Trade topped at 4,700gns for Salers bulls with the Sale leader being Whitebog Drew from Alister McKenzie, Fortrose. This July 2008 born bull is by Uni and out of the Lascar sired dam, Whitebog Trixy. The final bidder was James Gillanders, Aberdeenshire.

The Show Champion,also from the same home and by the same sire, Whitebog Dunc, made 4,200 gns selling to Derculich Farm, Pitlochry, Perthshire and Beeston Hall Beau, from Steve & Rachel hallos, Beeston Hall Salers, a bull sired by Poldean Taffy, out of a Rigel Iago daughter, sold for a call of 3,000gns.

In the female section, Female Champion, Rigel Isis,a Sagitaire sired heifer, from Messrs Pye, Rigel pedigree went for the  top price of 3,300gns. The buyer was J.Morton & Son, Selkirk.

Reserve to the Champion Female was Rigel Arwen, from Rigel Pedigree, and sold for 1,400gns to J. Martin & Son, Dalry, Ayrshire.
